# IP Subnet Split Calculator

IP Subnet Split Calculator, What can this calculator can perform ?

## IP Subnet Split Calculator

For Example you are  a local Network Administrator for a branch Office in Singapore , the Headquarter  Office Network Administrator in US provide you An IP address and Net mask 10.128.192.0 /19 .

You are ask to subdivided the Network , into 30 Separate Subnet

## How Subnet Split being Calculated

For Example your  head quarter provided the Following information below

10.128.192.0 /19 .

and ask  you to the Local Network Administrator to Split that into 30 Different Separate Network

## Step 1

Split the Net work and the Host Portion

## Step 2

Check how many Bits you need to steal  from the Host

you are ask to create 30 Sub nets

What is the Nearest 2 power of n , which is equal to 32 ?

30 = 2n

There are no value for 2 power of n equals to 30 , the nearest is  n=5

so the Result should be 32

## Step 3

Now we know we need to borrow 5 bits from the host to create a 32 subnets

So if you convert the Net Mask into Binary you will get a New Net Mask  255.255.255.0

## Step 4

You can Calculate the Rest

1) Wild Card
3) Number of Subnet
4) Number of Host
5) First IP address for the ” Enter IP” Network.
